We understand that household priorities and budgets can change. If you feel that Cuppi Pro isn’t the right fit for you at the moment, you are always free to cancel your subscription. You will still be able to use the app on our Free tier, ensuring you keep access to your most essential household tools.
To manage or cancel your subscription:
Please note that as Cuppi is an iOS-exclusive app, all payments and refunds are handled directly by Apple. Refunds are issued based on Apple’s App Store Guidelines.
Please remember that feature restrictions will apply to your household. Your data will be kept but you might not be able to add extra entries.
For example, if you have more than 1 Bin Day profiles and you downgrade from Pro to Free, your existing profiles will stay but you won’t be able to set up a new one.
The Referral Programme is available to household Owners. Head to Settings → Referral, and tap "Join and get code." You'll be asked to accept the Referral Programme's Terms & Conditions first - this is a one-time step and unlocks your personal referral code right after.
If you're an Adult member rather than the Owner, you won't see a join option. Only the Owner can enrol. You'll still be able to view and share the household's code once the Owner has joined.
No, your code doesn't expire. As long as you remain (or become again) a household Owner, it stays valid.
No, your referral code is permanent and tied to you personally, not to a specific household.
If you stop being an Owner and become one again later (of the same or a different household), the same code reactivates rather than a new one being issued.
Referral codes are meant for people creating their own household - that's where you'll find the code entry step during setup.
If you're joining someone else's household via invite, there's no code entry step in that flow.
Your friend gets Cuppi's standard trial and an extra month Pro for free (2 months free Pro in total).
A couple of things to check:
First, referral codes are entered when someone creates a new household - not during initial account registration. If your friend joined an existing household (rather than starting their own), there was no code entry step for them at all.
Second, entering a code doesn't earn you a point by itself. Your friend's own household needs to complete a paid subscription - after their free trial — before a point is credited, and it takes a couple of weeks after that first payment to fully mature into your balance.
A point won't come through if: the code was entered more than 7 days after your friend created their account, your friend and you ended up in the same household, they cancel or refund during that maturation window, or they delete their account before it matures.
If it's been a few weeks since your friend's first payment and you still don't see the point, reach out to us and we'll take a look.
On your Referral page, open "Free months to redeem" and pick how many months you'd like to use - 1, 3, 6, or 12, depending on how many points you have available. This sends a redemption request to our team for review; it isn't instant.
Once approved, an Apple offer code appears in your Redemptions list. Tap it to redeem directly through the App Store, or copy the code to redeem later.
Redemption requests are reviewed by our team before an offer code is assigned, and occasionally one is declined - you'll see the reason listed alongside the request. A request can also be automatically cancelled if household ownership changes hands while it's pending.
Either way, your points are always fully refunded to your available balance - you won't lose anything from a declined or cancelled request, and you're free to submit a new one.
No harm don. That's just a local reminder on your device to help you keep track, and it doesn't affect your code or points in any way.
Go to Settings → Referral → Redemptions, tap the greyed-out code marked "Used," and choose "Unhide" to bring it back into your active list.
Redeem it using the same Apple ID linked to your Cuppi subscription - the free month applies to that subscription specifically, so redeeming with a different Apple ID won't work as expected.
No, you'll only ever be offered options you can actually afford (1, 3, 6, or 12 months), based on your current points balance. You won't be able to submit a request for more months than you have points to cover.
No, you can only have one redemption request under review at a time.
While a request is pending, you won't see new redeem options; instead you'll see a note letting you know we'll notify you once your current request is ready.
Every friend who joins Cuppi with your referral code and goes on to pay for their own household's subscription earns you progress toward Lifetime Pro. Once you've referred enough paying households - this number is occasionally adjusted for promotions - Cuppi Pro is applied to your household for good, at no further cost.
This progress builds up automatically in the background from your successful referrals. There's nothing extra to redeem or claim for it.
They're two separate counters, tracked independently from the same successful referrals. Spending your points never sets back your Lifetime Pro progress.
Pro points are a spendable balance: each successful referral earns you 1 point, worth 1 free month of Pro, which you can redeem whenever you like.
Lifetime Pro is a cumulative milestone: it counts every successful referral you've ever made, whether or not you've redeemed the points from it, and unlocks permanent Pro once you hit the threshold. You can redeem every point you earn for free months and still make full progress toward Lifetime Pro at the same time.
There's nothing to redeem manually.
Once you cross the threshold, your Referral page will let you know that Lifetime Pro is being prepared for your account, and our team applies it from there.
There's no button to tap and no exact timeline we can promise, but you'll see it reflected on your account once it's live.
No. Redeem your points whenever you like.
Your Pro points balance (spendable for free months) and your Lifetime Pro progress (cumulative referrals) are tracked separately.
Redeeming a point for a free month doesn't reduce your Lifetime Pro count, so you can enjoy free months along the way and still reach Lifetime Pro at the same pace.
In rare cases, yes.
For example if fraudulent referral activity is discovered after the fact. This isn't something that happens as part of normal use, and there's no action required from you; if it were ever necessary, our team would apply it directly to the account.
If a referral you already earned a point from gets refunded - even after you've spent that point on a free month - the point is still deducted from your balance.
This can take your balance negative temporarily, which just means future points you earn go toward covering that first before you can redeem again. It won't undo a free month you've already claimed.
This only applies to the first paid month.
Your Pro points stay on your personal account - they're never transferred to anyone else - but they go dormant and hidden until you own a household again.
Your referral code deactivates too, and the household picks up the new Owner's code instead. If you had a redemption request in review at the time, it's automatically cancelled and the points are refunded to your balance. You'll see a warning about this before you confirm the ownership transfer.
Once your account is deleted, your points are no longer accessible or redeemable - there's no way to recover or transfer them afterward. If you're mid-referral as the person who was referred (not yet converted to a paid subscription), deleting your account also cancels that in-progress referral for whoever referred you.
